Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for developing the backend infrastructure of our upcoming social media app. As a key player in a lean tech team you will work closely with our sole product manager to bring our vision to life.
Responsibilities:
1. Design implement and maintain scalable backend systems to support the seamless integration of shortform video content.
2. Collaborate with the product manager to understand and implement features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
3. Develop and optimize database structures to efficiently handle user data ensuring a smooth user experience.
4. Implement and maintain secure and efficient APIs for communication between the backend and frontend components of the app.
5. Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment between backend development and overall project goals.
6. Contribute to the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within a costeffective and efficient framework.
7. Troubleshoot debug and resolve backend issues to ensure a robust and reliable application.
8. Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices to bring innovative solutions to the development process.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering.
2. Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a focus on scalable and highperformance systems.
3. Solid understanding of backend technologies including but not limited to Node.js Python or Java.
4. Experience with databases both SQL and NoSQL and their optimization.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
6. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Bonus Skills:
1. Experience with social media app development.
2. Familiarity with microservices architecture.
3. Knowledge of video processing and streaming technologies.
