Job Description
Seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a food manufacturer located in Syosset NY.
The ideal candidate has 3 years experience in general HR. You have working knowledge of recruitment payroll and benefits.
What you will do:
- Participate in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel.
- Conduct preemployment tests and reference checks for applicants.
- Maintain records reports and logs related to applicant flow procedures.
- Verify I9 documentation and keep records uptodate.
- Prepare paperwork for placing employees on payroll and establish personnel files.
- Conduct new employee orientation & assist with exit interviews.
- Ensure accurate data input into ADP for new hires promotions salary changes transfers status changes and personal changes.
- Assist with weekly and biweekly payrolls
- Process Short Term Disability claims.
- Assist with FMLA & PFL requests.
- Assist HR Director with research projects and/or special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree and three (3)years of experience in the HR field or any appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude including MS Word Excel
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
- In depth knowledge of recruiting platforms Indeed LinkedIn Recruiter etc.
