We are looking for a Project Manager to join our clients building and construction team. You will be responsible for overseeing a number of different types of construction projects and will be reporting to the Project Director and CEO.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a company focused on the construction and manufacture of building materials and is based in Naxxar Malta.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organise and facilitate the complete construction process from planning through to delivery.
- Execute all preconstruction construction quality control and post construction responsibilities.
- Understand what the client and the company want to achieve.
- Agree timescales costs and resources needed to deliver a project.
- Draw up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of a project.
- Select and lead the working team.
- Direct a multidisciplinary team.
- Communicate with staff at every level in a calm personable way.
- Oversee several projects at the same time.
- Ensure that each stage of the project happens on time on budget and to a high standard.
- Report regularly on progress to the Project Director and the client.
- Resolve any issues or delays.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all areas of construction.
- Work at the office and in the construction sites.
- Ensure conformity to building plans and design layouts while maintaining safe and productive construction sites.
- Supervise the completion of projects sites.
- Supervise all construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure occupational health and safety regulations are being complied with.
- Delegate building tasks and construction responsibilities as necessary.
- Manage an onsite workforce of employees and contractors and oversee their performance.
- Manage onsite resources such as people construction materials tools equipment and machinery.
- Create status reports.
EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Atleast 3 years experience is required.
- Effective communication skills Maltese and English (written verbal and listening)
- Teamwork.

EDUCATION
- A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering.
- High school diploma or equivalent in Project Management & Planning.
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday from 07:00 till 16:00 with one hour break. Shutdown in Summer and Christmas.
