Job Description

Our client is a quickly growing consulting engineering firm with 5 locations across Ontario servicing the land development industry with broad applications in new and redeveloped commercial industrial residential and recreational properties.

We are hiring a Receptionist to join their Guelph location. This position is a temporary contract (approx 6 months) with potential for permanent hire.

Salary: $23.00 $25.00 per hour

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (1/2 hour lunch break)

Responsibilities

  • Regular reception duties including greeting guests and managing multiline phone system.
  • Handling queries by phone email and general correspondence.
  • Preparing and setting up meetings rooms.
  • Receiving and organizing mail and all shipments.
  • Taking accurate messages ensuring that they are passed to the appropriate team member in time.
  • Handling printing photocopying and faxing as necessary.
  • Assisting with the management of inventory such as stationary.
  • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area.
  • Other administrative related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 13 years working in a Receptionist or Administrative type role.
  • Must be willing to commit to the minimum duration of the contract (approx 6 months).
  • Top communication skills with friendly energy is essential.
  • Ability to handle office equipment (i.e. telephone system printers computer).
  • Proactive with strong initiative is key. Seeing what needs to be done and just doing it.
  • High level of attention to detail is needed.
  • Above average computer and data entry skills.
  • Professionalism and respect of confidentiality.
  • Reliability and dependability is a must.
