Position Description
- Support the Linux environment for the database team.
- Development of user documentation and guidelines.
- Development of presentation material.
- Investigate collaborate and resolve production jobs and job failures.
- Support weekend maintenance activities to apply changes during nonpeak hours.
- Provide input to continuous improvement of Linux Administration and Support.

Basic Qualifications:
- Masters degree and 5 years of experience in a trainingrelated field or bachelors degree and 7 years of experience in a trainingrelated field.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field and Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
- 7 years of experience with Linux Administration
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Proficiency in Linux Patching/upgrading
- Proficiency with Linux commands and shell scripting
- Proficiency with Linux troubleshooting
- Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower
- Proficiency in High Availability and Disaster Recovery
- Proficiency in Linux Performance Tuning
Desired Skills:
- Solid working knowledge of AWS
- Experience supporting databases running on Linux.
- Experience with working with Federal Government clients.
Staff resource skillsets should include: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates. Active IRS MBI clearance. A minimum of 3 8* years collective developing applications in JAVA. Hibernate JAVA on the mainframe Experience with Json and Annotation Prior experience working on Agile teams. Spring Batch (experience with scaling would be a plus) IRS/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning) Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team Professional skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals
