Job Description
We are looking for a Database Administrator for a parttime longterm contract opportunity that is fully remote. The Database Administrator will be responsible for providing primary database architectural and administrative support evaluating and recommending changes to the database environment evaluating and completing a conversion from one database to another database and for reorganizing databases.
What Youll Do
- Knowledge and experience with DB2 Microsoft SQL Server and HANA
- Provide primary database architectural and administrative support (Data Modeling Attribution Referential Integrity and Database Security)
- Evaluate and recommend changes to the database environment based on ysis of the monitoring effort
- Oversee the physical database design including physical file characteristics backup and recovery requirements security requirements and physical space requirements dictated by the database design
- Recommend additional software based on the ysis of available software and Database Management System (DBMS) requirements Supervise the installation and testing of DBMS software; create and manage database objects schemas views tables stored procedures triggers partitioning cluster and indexing
strategies - Provide the audit ability of the database to insure data integrity detection of missing data late transaction reporting and untimely error correction
- Evaluate and complete a conversion from one database to another database (structure and data)
- Conduct backup and recovery via Image Copy Flashcopy etc.; reorganize databases
- Conduct performance monitoring and tuning
What Youll Need
Required
- 10 years of SAP DB2 experience
- Strong ytical ss and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement ss with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal ss with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
