Senior Automation Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support test workflow development planning and continuous integration activities.
  
• Perform unit testing integration testing performance testing functional testing regression testing scalability testing client acceptance testing user interface testing batch process testing and production support testing of these various software products.
  
• Participate in design specification reviews and technical documentation reviews.
  
• Construct various testing tools and scripts to be used by other testing analysts.
  
• Create testing and performance summary reports while clearly communicating all testing results to management.
  
• Prioritize defects to be fixed using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the customer.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in Information Technology with an emphasis on Software Quality Assurance and Testing
  
• Experience with Agile processes including participating in daily Scrum meetings Sprint Planning/Review meetings Sprint Retrospective meetings
  
• Experience formulating detailed Test Plans Test Scenarios and Testing Procedures including creating Test Cases/Scripts capturing Test Results and addressing and resolving Test Anomalies
  
• Experience working with developers and business stakeholders to define requirements provide input on developing testable acceptance criteria
  
• Experience conducting a variety of testing activities including Systems Integration Testing (End to End testing) Functional Quality Testing Positive/Negative (Destructive Testing) Regression Testing Smoke Testing and MustPass Test
  
• Entering and tracking defects within Rally Jira or similar tools
  
• Experience with complex SQL querying
  
• Experience utilizing GitLab Jobs to run Regression and Smoke Testing along with generating Test Reports.
  
• Proficiency in using testing tools; experience with frontend automated test tools (Selenium Cucumber etc.) and backend automation test tools (SQL Querying etc.)
  
• Experience utilizing SoapUI Selenium Cucumber Maven TestNG JUnit RestAssured Postman and WAVE for testing
  
• Strong JAVA coding and scripting skills
  
• Strong analytical skills attention to detail writing and communication skills
  
• Creative and independent problemsolving ability
  
• Experience working in a fastpaced automation testing project preferably in federal client domain
  
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g. Github/Lab Selenium JUnit Cucumber etc.)
  
• EAD visa green card or US citizenship
  
• Maintained a residence in the US for the last 2 years consecutively
  
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field (additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  
• 2 year professional experience in the US preferred
  
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
