Job Description:

RN (Registered Nurse) performs responsible supervisory and professional work directing and coordinating all nursing units. The individual must have had advanced training and broad nursing experience, including supervisory duties. The position requires administrative ability, knowledge of training techniques, the ability to adapt processes and procedures to unusual situations, and the exercise of initiative and good judgment. The work is conducted according to standards of professional nursing practices, center policies, rules and regulations, and State and Federal standards.

License/Certification:

  • RN (Required) in Oregon

Job Duties for ER RN:

  • Responsible for treating patients with severe and life-threatening emergencies and quickly and accurately assessing patient care needs
  • Work collaboratively with doctors and staff to provide exceptional care and diagnose and develop treatment plans collaboratively with doctors and staff.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize needs continually, and act composed and professionally, especially under pressure.
  • Monitor coworkers and voice concerns to minimize errors and provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals.
  • Maintained accurate and up-to-date patient charts and attended all required training and continuing education events.
  • Aware of abnormal findings during ongoing assessments and seeks appropriate assistance
  • Delegates tasks and supervises the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers ensuring the tasks assigned are within the individual's scope of practice and readjusts care priorities as the patient's needs change.

Job Duties Cath Lab:

  • Providing assessment, monitoring, and intervention for cardiac procedures, such as coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization, balloon valvuloplasty, angioplasty, and pericardiocentesis
  • Administering oral and intravenous medication to patients
  • Operating intra-aortic balloons, physiological recorders, and printers for monitoring electrocardiogram data
  • Managing patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions
  • Educating patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications, and other postoperative information
  • Managing paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure documentation
  • Collaborating with other medical staff as needed

Job Duties IMCU/ICU RN:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to address the physiological, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of the assigned patient population
  • Develops nursing care plans based upon the patient assessment and revises care plans based upon a change of condition and clinical findings on reassessment
  • Has the ability to make an appropriate clinical decision within the scope of practice
  • Documents nursing assessment, reassessment, plan of care, interventions, and responses to treatment bad on established guidelines
  • Administers medication and provides treatments and documents appropriately
  • Initiates emergency measures when indicated and serves on said teams as assigned
  • Educating patients and support systems based upon appropriate physiological, physiological, and personal preferences. Instruction is provided at the level of the patient's cognitive ability.
  • Documentation is legible, timed, dated, and signed
  • Follows infection control policies and procedures
  • Notifies appropriate healthcare providers promptly when patient status warrants
  • Recent (within the past five years) acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Critical care hospital experience in the past two years or intermediate/progressive care experience preferred

Job Dutied OR RN:

  • Recent (within the past five years) acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Operating room experience within the past two years or graduation from an accredited perioperative program preferred
  • Utilizes the nursing process to address the physiological, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of the assigned patient population
  • Develops nursing care plans based upon the patient assessment and revises care plans based upon a change of condition and clinical findings on reassessment
  • Has the ability to make an appropriate clinical decision within the scope of practice
