EHS Specialist - Automotive or Manufacturing

Hirefocus Recruiting is hiring a EHS Specialist for an outstanding client in beautiful Asheville SC area. In this role you will administer a comprehensive EHS program to include PPE Bloodborne pathogens Hazard analysis ergonomics and many others for a 3shift unionized automotive organization. Responsibilities:

• You will train EHS to hourly workforce and management to ensure compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations of EHS.
• Document accidents thoroughly and accurately in a timely fashion
• Follow up on corrective actions and work with plant leadership to ensure goals are being met.
• Active participant and coordination of H&S committees
• Responsible for workers comp claims and attend hearings when necessary.
• Keep track on OSHA (300 or 301 forms) logs of injury data and prepare reports for leadership.
• Experience with IATF 16949 ISO 14001 / 45001 standards

Requirements:

• 5 years EHS experience in automotive manufacturing environment. Union experience preferred.
• Bachelors degree in industrial safety or equivalent experience required.
• Tools include MS Office suite (word excel PowerPoint & outlook)
• Teamoriented and a multitasker to work in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent communication skills training experience needed.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO 14001 & 45001 standards
