Network Architect
100% Remote; Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Client is located on Eastern Standard Time
1 year (with opportunity for extension)
Normal Business Hours Monday through Friday (not including a mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work) 35 work hours per week.
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
Minimum 12 years of experience in the field of networking.
Must have handson experience with BGP MPLS OSPF and ISIS routing protocols in a large environment.
Deep understanding of virtualization load balancing and hyperconverged infrastructure.
Network Routing and Switching: design and implementation
Tasks include:
Participate in design meetings and reviews from a Network perspective on assigned projects.
Implement networking solutions to meet the business requirements and at the same time meet OTIs Best practices guidelines.
Collaborate with OTIs Architect teams to develop operable solutions for Citywide requirements.
Lead build for installing new network devices.
Follow the OTI process for new device commissioning.
Configure ports configure new switches and apply the base template configurations integrate the switch into the production network.
Develop and validate base configurations for operational use.
All tasks follow OTIs standard procedures.
Open TAC cases as needed and fix root causes related to the project deployments.
Review and implement network resilience and network failover validations as directed.
Implement and integrate for complex network upgrades and implementations.
Complete any additional tasks assigned by the manager.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Handson experience in Ciscos ACI technology
Additional experience in the field of load balancing.
Good project management skills
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple project tasks
