Role Overview: We are seeking highly skilled Senior Systems Engineers to join our clients team in Hawaii. This position requires toptier professionals with expertise in systems administration network management software analysis and virtualization. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance and be passionate about advancing systems engineering and cybersecurity operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Unix and Windows systems ensuring optimal performance.
Utilize modern systems administration practices and procedures.
Administer Windows Active Directory and associated tools such as Registry Event Viewer and Services.
Set and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects to ensure secure and efficient system operation.
Utilize PowerShell for automation and system management tasks.
Oversee enterprise network management software deployment and security practices.
Perform and interpret packet captures to troubleshoot network issues.
Configure network settings on multiple operating systems and manage remote authentication between networked resources.
Identify dependencies read and interpret proprietary documentation and reproduce software conditions on both Windows and Unix platforms.
Implement and manage virtualization environments using VMware products.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Work with crossfunctional teams to integrate and support enterprise systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering with specific experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and US Navy systems.
Strong background in systems administration with a focus on Unix command line and Unix management tools.
Experience managing Windows Active Directory and associated management tools.
Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and system management tasks.
Understanding of network management software deployment and security practices.
Ability to identify dependencies read and interpret proprietary documentation and reproduce software conditions on both Windows and Unix platforms.
Strong background in virtualization concepts and platforms including VMware products.
Strong background in computer networking including packet captures network configuration and managing remote authentication between networked resources.
Familiarity with Windows and Unix network stacks and platformspecific software tools (iptables Windows Firewall etc.).
Indepth understanding and experience with DoD and US Navy systems protocols and security measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certifications such as CISSP CompTIA Security or similar.
Experience in managing complex IT projects including planning execution and delivery.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices as they relate to systems engineering.
Strong technical writing skills for creating detailed documentation and reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment collaborating with other engineers and IT professionals.
Location: This position is based in Hawaii. Onsite presence is required and remote work is not an option.
Salary Range:
Master Level: $170000 $210000
Senior Level: $140000 $170000
