Our Azure Ops engineers play a vital role in the Azure Platform Operations team ensuring the operational excellence and management of all customer aspects within the platform. This involves maintaining a robust support model with 24x7 coverage defined SLAs meeting Business Continuity objectives and implementing change management with audit trails.
Responsibilities:
- Administration of Azure infrastructure
- Configuration management for IaaS/PaaS
- Troubleshooting operational environment issues performing root cause analysis and implementing changes
- Consulting the service desk and resolving escalated cases or escalating them to L3
- Performing operational tasks for various services and technologies within agreed SLA levels
- Creating knowledge articles for troubleshooting platformrelated issues
- Monitoring and maintaining the health of endcustomer environments
- Participating in oncall rotations for outofbusinesshours support
- Updating support and operational documentation
- Implementing change management practices as per ITIL4
- Integrating Azure monitoring solutions with internal incident management processes and tools
- Gathering requirements and providing continuous feedback loops between IT security and the Cloud CoE team
Requirements
- 2 years of experience working in an operations team of a large multinational environment (preferably Financial Services)
- Awareness of ITSM frameworks (Support Delivery and Implementation)
- Experience dealing with and responding to IT Audit
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management principles and tools (e.g. Privileged Access)
- Knowledge of rolebased access controls and organizational hierarchies for proactive identification of manual activities to feed into service improvements (Automation)
- Experience in coordinating with multiple support groups contributing to a service
- Indepth experience with Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft identityrelated technologies (AD/ADFS)
- Configuration and troubleshooting experience with Windowsbased solutions
- Familiarity with virtualization tools and solutions (HyperV)
- Experience with Azure Monitor
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell Azure CLI)
- Experience with Firewalls and IT security
- Basic understanding and experience with ITSM systems (preferably ITIL4)
- Knowledge of networks (OSI layers TCP/IP Routes VPN)
- Installation and configuration experience with Linuxbased environments (RHEL)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps and Terraform)
