Job Description

Our esteemed client a company specializing in maritime services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is actively looking to hire a Planning and Inventory Control Specialist.

The planning and inventory control specialist will manage materials inventory level at the warehouses ensuring the inventory level always at optimum. The planning and inventory control specialist should use the reordering of the materials to manage the inventory level and avoid materials out of stock.

Key Accountabilities

The Planning and Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to:

  1. Adhere to organizations policies and safety standards.
  2. Ensure the operation of the warehouse is conducted in highly safe environment and in accordance to the company safety standard.
  3. Develops and implements procedures for ensuing that adequate inventory levels are present.
  4. Work with the warehouse service provider to finalize the weekly monthly quarterly and yearly plan for materials delivery.
  5. Identifies and optimizes common inventory items.
  6. Assist with periodic physical inventory audits.
  7. Work with the internal stakeholders to identify the materials demand and conduct deep analysis and monitor of materials demand.
  8. Constantly work to improve process and procedures and identify areas for improvements.
  9. Manage the cycle counting.
  10. Leadership skills to manage a group of the warehouse team include assign tasks IDP KPI motivation etc.

Who we are looking for:

Experience: 6/ years of relevant experience (maritime services industry is a MUST)

Education: Bachelors degree in related major

Competencies (Knowledge Skills & Abilities)

  • Proven record in planning and managing the inventory in warehouses.
  • knowledge in warehouse management system ERP and the work process.
  • Experience in managing third party contract.

Language: Fluent in English

Working Relations (Internal Interactions & External Interactions)

Internal Interactions:

Interact with different stakeholders for materials receive and issue such as quality operations logistics Asset management etc.

External Interactions:

Will work with the warehousing third party service provider who will be operating organizations warehouses.
