Job Description
- Working Location: Braine LAlleud Belgium
- Security Clearance: NATO Secret
- Language: High proficiency level in English language
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
Strong knowledge the DBMS technologies (Oracle Microsoft SQL server MySQL Server and PostgreSQL) and sound experience on at least two
Good understanding of Automate the Database Provisioning and Patching Solutions
Good understanding of middle tier solutions (Microsoft SharePoint WebLogic Oracle Forms APEX)
Current and indepth knowledge and practical working experience of latest version of the operating systems (Linux/ UNIX and MS Windows Server )
A good understanding of more advanced architectures on High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions like server clustering and virtual infrastructures
Practical experience in deploying/using/optimising mainstream Service Management Tools (e.g. SCOM and Oracle Enterprise Manager)
Practical experience on Database implementation on cloud environment
Good knowledge about project management
Experience with PowerBI Grafana Reporting technologies
DUTIES/ROLE:
Monitoring the performance of assigned systems and the definition and implementation of adequate measures ensuring an optimal performance and high availability of the DB services
Defining DB backup strategies and ensuring a valid and maintained recovery plan is in place
Providing specialist assistance regarding DB technology to the various Service Lines and CSUs
Defining and implementing an upgrade strategy to keep the DB environment current
Selecting and implementing appropriate DB infrastructure configurations in support of business/technology architectures
