What impact will you have in this role? We are hiring a Sales Manager for a leading IT Staffing Firm in the Austin or San Antonio Texas market. This position will lead the sales teams to meet and exceed client expectations through successful delivery of top talent consultants. You will implement and execute effective sales and business development strategies to grow the client footprint and expand client engagement in the Texas market.
What will you be doing day-to-day? - Manages and is responsible for the overall delivery of results and performance of all sales employees within their market.
- Responsible for training, on-boarding, mentoring and career development of direct reports.
- Manage, guide, and engage staff with a focus on recruiting, account management, business development, and customer satisfaction.
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding production and revenue goals of the branch office.
- Responsible for actively leading the efforts from your sales team on new business development, account expansion and account management of large, anchor accounts in the assigned market.
What skills are required to be successful in this role? - At least 5 years of sales or hybrid sales/recruiting experience in an IT or staffing environment
- At least 2 successful years of staffing leadership/management experience with P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated previous success in new business development, account expansion and account management of large, anchor accounts at a similar staffing firm
- Proven track record of executing advanced sales strategies in large accounts, mid-market and emerging businesses.
- Ability to manage teams of experienced, mid-level and new sales team members in a manner that fosters an inclusive and positive culture and where team members are productive, motivated, inspired, and engaged
- Continually improve production levels and key performance metrics including weekly spread, consultants on billing, average spread, average markup, starts and terms
- Decisive; considers all options, seeks input, and makes difficult decisions in a timely manner.
- Ability to stay the course in times of difficulty and remain motivated to accomplish goals in the face of adversity or challenge.
- Deal effectively with pressure, remain optimistic and persistent, recover quickly from setbacks
- Experience negotiating favorable contract terms for staffing and recruiting services
- Experience leading, mentoring, training, and coaching sales professionals
- Confident communication with procurement, HR, IT management, and VP/SVP/CIO-level executive management
