Job Title

Location: Onsite - Las Vegas, NV

Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00

Compensation Package: Bonus Plan

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • 7 years of experience in public accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP

About the Role

A publicly-listed corporation is actively seeking a Leader of Technical Accounting, ideally with SEC reporting proficiency. This newly established position will report to the executive Team with responsibilities such as orchestrating and preparing internal and external reports (10K/Q), formulating and implementing processes and controls, and offering expertise in technical accounting matters while leading the Team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Form 10-Q and Form 10-K reports for quarterly and annual financial disclosures, respectively, and oversee the internal and external review processes for these documents.
  • Establish and manage an SEC reporting calendar to keep stakeholders informed about internal timelines and SEC submission deadlines.
  • Facilitate the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities in collaboration with external auditors.
  • Experience monitoring FASB, SEC, and other regulatory developments to ensure the company's adherence to new standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting protocols to ensure compliance with internal control and SOX requirements.
  • Provide support for monthly financial reporting and month-end consolidation tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external parties to manage quarterly tax provisions for multiple filers.
  • Assist in the preparation of various other SEC filings
  • Take part in the administration and internal reporting associated with the Company's equity compensation programs.

Candidate Requirements

  • 7-10 years experience, preferably in public accounting or a large Public organization.
  • BS in Accounting. An advanced degree is a plus
  • CPA and/or Big 4 Public Accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
