Industrial Engineer
**Position will be located in Austin, Texas
Responsibilities include:
- Module assembly (CPM, FEM, AGS) & Sequencing planning and execution
- Plan, design concepts, evaluate, optimize, write specifications, follow-up with suppliers light industrial equipment including: assembly facilities, warehousing, assembly lines for automotive modules, assembly cells for automotive, modules, assembly jigs and fixtures, gages for quality check, headlamp alignment processes and lifting devices
- Meet deliverable in terms of quality, deadlines, cost efficiency, process capabilities
- Develop tooling and processes to handle class A surface for exterior and interior modules
- Lean processes, continuous improvement, assembly time optimization, material and information flow optimization, minimal inventories
- Proactively and efficiently agree on deliverables, define requirements, and communicate progress with program teams and with remote functional experts based at the corporate guidelines and in the plant
- Supervise suppliers, document and optimize the execution of equipment and fixtures
- Support and/or drive adherence, changes or improvements tied to improved overall plant Health and Safety requirements
- Take every precaution reasonable to protect the Health and Safety of the workers, visitors, and contractors with the commissioning, servicing, installation, and maintenance of any facility service work and new fabrication
- Installation, procurement, and supervisory oversight of new plant equipment and maintenance repair services as required supporting modify equipment to support: Safety needs, Quality needs or Efficiency needs
- Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the Production Supervisor and Plant Manager for Safety related matters requiring immediate machine repair or critical safety items that could endanger life safety
- Quoting of machinery and tooling
- Valume Stream Map development to assigned processes/ plants (current States vs. New States)
- MTM development for current processes, update to actual times performed for assigned plants/ processes
- Ensuring compliance to and participate in IATF 16949 and CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance & ISO 14001 certification
- Supporting the launch of both ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
Education:
- Bachelors degree in industrial on manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering is mandatory
- Masters degree is preferred

- Six Sigma Green Belt

- Tightening Experience
- IATF16949/CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) ISO 14001
