Responsibilities
- This role will be accountable to the Chief Executive Officer for the effective administration and overall management of airline ground operations (Guest Services + Ramp) and Cargo Operations.
- Maintain the highest level of safety, security and service standards for ground and cargo operations.
- Working closely with the rest of the operations management team, ensuring the effective management of ground operations including GTR Indonesia (iGTR)
- Driving the overall strategy for AOC operations in terms of safety, ground operations, staff welfare, overall efficiency and costs. The scope cover - check-in, special passenger, baggage, gate management, flight irregularities, baggage irregularities, ramp handling and GSE.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring Ground Operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of our client policies
- Ensure all regulatory requirements established by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) are compiled with and ensure recommendations by DGCA are efficiently and effectively carried out.
- Ensure that all key internal stakeholders from CEO, Group Head of Ground Operations and level down are kept fully informed and are suitably represented as required on all issues concerning ground operations. Lead and manage the airline s Ground Operations at the nominated base(s) and to deliver targeted performance outcomes in all areas of safety, cost control and operational performance.
- Ensure that Ground Operations comply with Acts and Regulations and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in ground operations and demonstrable experience in outsourced operational management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local Civil Aviation requirements and standardization, norms, guidance, criteria, system and procedures for air transportation.
- Proficient in oral and written English and Bahasa.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think and Respond appropriately in difficult situations.
- Leadership skills and an authoritative approach and worthy of respect among peers and management.
- Experienced in a multicultural organization.
