MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE,ABILITYORSKILLS:TheSeniorNetworkEngineerwillfocusonmaintainingthe
technologyintegrityandfunctionalityoftheCCUcorenetworkinfrastructurecomponentsand
network.Design,configure,maintain,andmanagenetworkdevicestoachieveoptimal
performanceandmaximumavailability.
Musthaveexcellent,hands-ontechnicalknowledgeandexperienceworkinginanenterprise
classnetworkenvironmentwhichincludesmultipleLAN&WANlocationexperience,multiple
internetproviderinterconnections,datacenters,highspeedlinks,andnetworkswithVLAN
separation.ExperienceworkingforanISPaplus.
EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE:University/Collegedegree(AA,BA,BS)required3plusyears
ormoreofrelevantworkexperienceworkingonenterpriseclassequipment.Certificationsasa
CCIE,CCNP,CCDP,CCNP-SecurityandhandsonworkexperiencewithinaWireless,Data
Center,ISP,telecomenvironmentwithispreferredorsomelevelofrelevantworkexperience.
Competencywithtestingtoolsandproceduresforvoiceanddatacircuits,packetcapturing,and
protocolanalysisexperienceisaplus

Seven(7)plusyearsofexcellentworkingtechnicalknowledgeofcurrentnetworkhardware,
protocols,andnetworkservicesandsoftwarehandlingenterprisetypeservers,routers,switches,
firewallsandwirelessAPtechnologylikeVMWare,Meraki,Aruba,Cisco,Juniper,classtools,
allISRrouterplatformswithrelatedinterfacecards,TCP/IP,EIGRP,BGP,STP,PBR,VRF,
MLPP,SNMP,andrelatedprotocols.

Creatingandmaintainingdocumentationasitrelatestonetworkconfiguration,network
topologicaldiagramingandmappingofbothLANsandWAN,andnetworkrelated
processes,andservices.
Developing,implementing,andmaintainingpolicies,procedures,andassociatedtraining
plansfornetworkadministration,usage,anddisasterrecovery.
Overseeingnewandexistingequipment,hardware,andsoftwareupgrades.
Ensuringnetworkconnectivityofallnetworkconnectedappliancessuchasservers,
workstations,telephonyequipment,faxmachines,etc.
Performsecurityaudits,andsystembackupsandrecoveryofnetworkinfrastructure.
Manageanddirect1to3employeesperforminganarrayofvariedtasks.
Resolvescustomerissues(independentlyandasateam);willinglyassistsotherstaff
memberswithprojectsasneeded.
Providebackupforotherpositionswhenneeded.
ManagetheCompaniesincludinginstallationandoperationofthatequipment.
SupportthemaintenanceoftheCompaniesSCADAsystem,phone,videosecurityand
firealarmsystems.
NegotiatevariousservicecontractsandservicelevelagreementsfortheCompany.
PerformsallotherdutiesasassignedbytheGM.
