Position Description:
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedures.
Refrigeration Technician Tasks:
- Able to perform electrical and mechanical preventative and predictive maintenance as tasked.
- Able to complete daily log sheets, communicate effectively, and be proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and other mechanical concerns.
- Be proactive in the daily plant operations to ensure maximum plant efficiencies and product quality and capacity.
- Assist in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical inventory.
- Must support the company personnel and food safety programs, policies and procedures, and contract employee programs.
- Follows all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, GMP policies.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to include lubrication power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement, fork truck & pallet jack maintenance.
- Able to use measurement devices.
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold, wet, and humid environment
- Able to furnish own tools
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends
- Must be able to lift or move up to 100lbs
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Ability to work with broiler, ammonia, and HVAC.

- Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience (can be a combination of employers) or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
- Must have PSM experience.
