Position Summary: The HR Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that our companys human resources practices adhere to all relevant laws regulations and internal policies. This role involves monitoring and analyzing compliance issues providing recommendations for improvements and supporting HR initiatives to mitigate risks and ensure legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities: - Compliance Monitoring: Regularly review and monitor HR practices to ensure they comply with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development implementation and revision of HR policies and procedures to ensure they are uptodate and compliant with legal requirements.
- Audits and Assessments: Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on compliance issues audit findings and regulatory changes. Ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to HR staff and management on compliancerelated matters. Develop educational materials to promote compliance awareness.
- Investigations: Support and conduct investigations into compliance concerns employee complaints or policy violations.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and advise on their impact on company policies and practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with legal finance and other departments to ensure comprehensive compliance across the organization.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Law or a related field. Certification in HR or compliance (e.g. SHRMCP PHR or similar) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 24 years of experience in HR compliance HR management or a related role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations (e.g. FLSA ADA EEO FMLA OSHA).
- Skills: Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex compliance issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS and compliance management software.
