Our client have proven expertise in developing and fielding space-based optical system solutions for national security space programs that are vital to the safety of our world.
You will be responsible for leading a department of subcontracts professionals across multiple business units while also managing a variety of complex contracts and agreements in a government contracting environment. We are looking for a highly skilled subcontracts professional with the ability and passion to lead a team to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a group of Subcontracts professionals with the full range of management responsibilities to include such things as resource planning, staffing, employee training and development, and performance management
- Mentor, coach and advise subcontracts professionals
- Review, draft and negotiate myriad complex agreements, including Firm Fixed Price/ Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FFP)/(FPIF), Cost Plus Award Fee/ Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPAF/CPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee/ Time and Materials (CPFF/T&M) and hybrid subcontract types
- Serve as subject matter expert and advise internal clients on subcontract requirements/ implications pursuant to FAR/DFAR/DOE, and Export and Import control requirements
- Partner with and advise internal clients within the following verticals: Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Contracts to ensure efficient workflow and execution of agreements
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate prime contract flow downs
- Manage large, complex subcontracts of significant importance, including ensuring all agreements and supporting document are property filed
- Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert for audits of subcontracts
Requirements, Skills and Experience:
- BS or BA in an applicable field (business, legal, etc.) is required
- Desired 10+ years Supply Chain Experience with US Government Subcontracts
- Previous Leadership Experience
- Major subcontract terms and condition negotiations
- Experience developing and implementing Supply Chain Strategy
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- SAP based environment experience
