Kroll Business Services provides technology-enabled business solutions supporting claims administration in the restructuring and class action spaces, corporate actions, liability management, loan administration and debt markets. We are a global organization with entities in the US, UK, India and Asia.

The Kroll Business Services ("KBS") division of Kroll is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant for one of our subsidiaries, Kroll Restructuring Administration. The Staff Accountant will provide support to all areas of the Finance Department, with a focus on the accounts payable and month end close procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and a capable of multi-tasker. The Finance Department works as a collaborative team and seeks a colleague who enjoys working in a team environment.

The employee will work in New York City where Kroll headquarters. The position is a hybrid position with the expectation that the individual is in the office 1 day per week.

The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting and Accounts Payable Manager of Kroll Restructuring Administration.

The specific job duties include:

  • Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
  • Provide client estimates
  • Prepare mailing narratives for upload into time entry system
  • Review monthly client invoices
  • Review monthly expense reimbursements
  • Process and prepare monthly journal entries for Amex statements
  • Prepare documentation and assist with external audit requests

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
