Job Description:
As a Cost Accountant you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for analyzing and controlling costs to ensure the financial efficiency and profitability of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cost analysis and financial reporting to support business decisions.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs including labor materials and overhead.
- Develop and maintain standard cost models and update them as necessary.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for cost discrepancies.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes providing costrelated insights.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize cost control.
- Support monthend and yearend closing processes by preparing necessary cost accounting entries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to cost accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Proven 4 years of experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Previous experience in agriculture or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) is a plus.
