Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location of role: Northbrook, IL 60025 onsite ideally 5 days a week

Must be vaccinated

Salary up to 85K depending on experience

Key Points:

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 plus year in an accounting/finance role; accounting degree preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proven experience troubleshooting and supporting A/R and A/P functions
• Working knowledge of Epicor ERP and Workday Enterprise Management Cloud is a plus

The Staff Accountant is responsible for reviewing and recording transactions, maintaining appropriate internal control procedures, assisting with the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports detailing financial and operational results, account reconciliations, timely invoicing, and follow-up with clients on outstanding receivables.

The Staff Accountant will also assist with month-end close.

• Review and approve accounts payable invoice coding to ensure proper allocation to general ledger accounts
• Invoice clients, respond to and resolve any questions or discrepancies and follow-up on outstanding receivables
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Identify and research general ledger variances and communicate findings to Management
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Complete analytical review of balance sheet and income statement
