Associate Editor (Core News)

Requirements

What you will be doing :

1. Help create accurate and high-quality copy across all publishing platforms.
   
2. Lead team of editors to power our content platform
   
3. Work to enhance the quality of our content within tight timelines.
   
4. Work on AI-supported tools and an evolving CMS with nimbleness and agility
   
5. Simplify communication and rework copy (as needed) for varying demographics.
   
6. Edit copy for varying lengths and adhere to various platform-specific guidelines.
   
7. Ensure alignment of content to brand requirements and tonality.
   

What is expected from you:

• Passionate about content across categories (politics, business, sports, entertainment, tech, auto), across formats (video, infographic, short-form, memes, gifs) and platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Roposo).
  
• A professional with 7+ years of experience with a track record/qualifications/project work that demonstrates excellent language skills, and a passion for content and media.
  
• Manages and leads a team of employees. Should be able to communicate organizational goals, deadlines and also motivate team members and assess their performance
  
• Provides help to management, including hiring and training
  
• Amenable to work on any given day, including weekends and holidays, to address the news cycle well. Glance's content teams work 365 days a year, while individuals in the team work on 5 of 7 days.
  
• Outstanding in your ability to use language and grammar well, without being verbose, for a new-age content platform.
  
• Passionate about working in a fast-paced environment, where role dynamics, expectations and work nature can evolve almost every quarter.
  
• Comfortable at using basic video and image editing software to process basic multimedia work.
  
• Fantastic at time management and deeply committed to meeting deadlines.
  
• A team-player with exceptional interpersonal skills, who is always willing to get your hands dirty, and get the job done.
