Job Description
For our Client, we are currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join their growing team in Topsham, ME.
Position Summary
The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Shipping/Receiving team and all product as it is received in and shipped from our facility in Topsham, Maine.
- Oversee the entire Shipping/Receiving function to ensure optimal efficiency and communicate opportunities for improvement to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors to ensure all incoming/outgoing orders are prepared for shipping/receiving.
- Oversee the Shipping/Receiving team to ensure operations run smoothly and responsibilities are communicated to direct reports.
- Maintain an organized safe work area for Shipping/Receiving operations.
- Coordinate with Truck Driver s to ensure timely delivery of all incoming/outgoing product and communicate any schedule changes to key stakeholders.
- Performs other related duties as assigned including inventory counting, rotation and management, freight and cold-chain optimization, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, OR
- Comparable Production and/or Shipping/Receiving leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience with ERP systems a plus.
- May be called upon to assist Shipping/Receiving team on floor.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
