Job Description
- Ensuring compliance with all local statutory requirements including those under the taxation and corporate laws
- Maintain assigned segments of the finance system for their respective country, ensure accuracy and timely processing and assist in producing the annual budgets
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Own and lead throughout the purchase to pay process, this will include understanding and helping raise purchase orders, book invoices and where necessary complete reconciliations.
- Work with the Regional Finance Manager (RFM) to ensure tight finance control is maintained within the country.
- Prepare annual budgets with RFM and Country Manager.
- Monthly monitoring and reporting of expenditure against budget to the Country Manager and Regional Finance Manager.
- Management of the month-end reporting process and compiling variance analysis reports, ensuring timely delivery to management
- Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain company standards
- Assisting HR with the payment and booking of monthly salaries for employees
- Ensure timely payments of taxation to the government treasury.
- Maintaining accurate General Ledger and other books of accounts for the company’s operations in Egypt & Morocco in liaison with Shared Service Center (SSC).
- Preparing and submitting Sales Tax returns/ Withholding tax statements as required under the law.
- Preparing annual Financial Statements of the company as per the local statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with the external auditors during the annual statutory audit
- Interact with Company’s legal counsel/ company secretary for any corporate matters.
- Any other duties as directed by the FRM & Country Manager
- Portray a thoroughly credible and professional image to the customer at all levels, at all times.
- Ensure SOX compliance for the country, including reporting & reconciliation of the balance sheet
- Continuously develop and improve the output of the role
- Ad hoc reporting and duties when required
- Driving WCS collections and reporting
Job Requirements
- BSC. in Finance or Accounting
- Masters degree or CMA/CPA is an advantage
- Excellent Computer skills
- Experience of planning and forecasting within multinational organizations
- Advanced numerate & analytical skills aligned to good presentation and enhanced spreadsheet skills
- Accuracy, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Experience of working within a cross-functionalin organization
- Knowledge of FM markets an advantage, understanding of commercial models and the requirements of managing to an expected outcome
- Fluency in written and spoken English with other languages a benefit
- Must be a proactive team player
- Commitment to adhere to international deadlines and working required hours in order to meet deadlines
