PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Modularization Strategy ensuring alignment with the established guidelines.
- Develop Modularization Road Map ensuring early alignment with project schedules and execution requirements.
- Participate in detailed Surveys of fabrication yards to identify capacities and capabilities.
- Create centralized database ensuring all relevant data are stored in an organized manner to allow for efficient extraction and comparison of modular fabrication information.
- Provide technical support as required to evaluate module complexity fabrication feasibility and engineering requirements based on capacity experience etc.
- Support and review the maximum size envelope/tonnage limits of Module fabrication based on route transportation and logistics constrains.
- Coordinate and alignment among Modularization studies to enhance results and maximize synergies for optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate on studies for Transportation Methods from fabrication yards to the project site including route surveys and identifying module size limitations
- Review Transportation studies from Fabrication Yards to Site (highlighting any limitations and clearly identifying Module Max transportation envelope).
- Review transportation or logistical challenges and recommend solutions.
- Review transportation methods to address logistical constrains for successful module delivery
- Guides the Plant Layout and Piping Group in the layout of a modularized plant the design of individual modules and the establishment of the key modularization parameters required at the beginning of a modularized project as well as providing an overview of module fabrication load out transportation installation testing and commissioning.
- Contributes to overall construction and constructability activities to achieve the successful completion of the modulization and construction aspects. Primary success indicators are meeting the Projects safety quality schedule and cost goals
- Work together with the Consultants and Contractors in a proactive way in planning implementing mobilization and training of an integrated construction site organization and development of site control procedures in terms of modularization.
- Monitor and manage overall progress and deviations from agreed plans. Act to prevent or remedy shortfalls as appropriate throughout the construction period before there is significant cost schedule or quality impact
- Along with the HSE Manger manage the Site Team in the implementation of the Project Safety Plans as applicable to the Site activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
- Construction Experience in Fabrication Yards for Process Module Fabrication
- Experience in handling transportation and logistics of Process Modules of Oil Gas and Petrochemical Projects.
- Leadership qualities to direct motivate and organize the team
- Ability in managing multiple discipline modularization and construction site team to ensure that the team deliver consistent quality works which will also meet safety cost and schedule requirements
- Ability to monitor variances from plans and conduct swift implementation of appropriate preventive or remedial measures
- Behaviour to function in a proactive manner
- Good interpersonal and communication skills coupled with pragmatism/ flexibility to build good contractor relations
Academic: Engineering degree in appropriate discipline
Experience: 20 years of industry experience including 10 years of Construction Experience in Process Module Fabrication Yards
Experience in Process Module Transportation and Installation at Site is preferred
