Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Analyst to join their IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization s cybersecurity posture managing security technologies and implementing strategies to protect the companys IT infrastructure. The Senior IT Security Analyst will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the integrity confidentiality and availability of data and systems while identifying and mitigating security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies policies and protocols to protect the organization s IT infrastructure data and applications.
- Monitor evaluate and improve security practices and align them with industry standards (ISO 27001 NIST etc.).
- Lead the design deployment and maintenance of security tools and systems such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and encryption tools.
- Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents including identifying analyzing and mitigating threats in a timely manner.
- Investigate and report on security breaches analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Continuously monitor for vulnerabilities and security risks including malware phishing ransomware and other cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments penetration testing and vulnerability scans on systems and networks.
- Evaluate security risks develop risk mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to management for security improvements.
- Ensure regular patch management and system updates are carried out to protect against known vulnerabilities.
- Conduct internal security audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
- Support audits and security reviews to meet regulatory requirements including those related to data protection and privacy.
- Ensure compliance with local and international cybersecurity laws and standards including GDPR HIPAA or other relevant frameworks.
- Work closely with IT legal compliance and other teams to ensure cybersecurity measures are integrated throughout the organization s operations.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on security threats incidents and mitigation efforts.
- Maintain documentation for all securityrelated activities including incident reports vulnerability assessments and risk analyses.
- Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness about cybersecurity best practices among employees.
- Advise on the security implications of new technologies and business processes ensuring secure adoption and implementation.
- Stay uptodate with the latest cybersecurity trends tools and threats.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in the organizations security infrastructure and practices.
- Proactively suggest and implement security measures to enhance the overall security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH CompTIA Security or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 57 years of experience in IT security with at least 3 years in a senior or lead security role.
- Handson experience with security technologies such as firewalls endpoint protection encryption and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Strong understanding of network protocols operating systems and security architecture.
- Expertise in conducting risk assessments vulnerability management and penetration testing.
- Indepth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO 27001 SOC 2) and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud security identity and access management (IAM) and data protection solutions.
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
