Scope: We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to lead and manage health safety and environmental (HSE) programs within our Oil & Gas operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing implementing and ensuring compliance with safety policies regulatory requirements and best practices to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
Safety Policy & Compliance:
- Develop implement and update HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA API ISO NFPA and other industry safety standards.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and manage external safety audits.
Risk Management & Incident Prevention:
- Conduct risk assessments safety audits and site inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Training & Awareness:
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Organize emergency response drills and ensure preparedness for crisis situations.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Environmental Protection & Compliance:
- Oversee environmental protection measures including waste management and spill response.
- Ensure compliance with environmental safety regulations and sustainability initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering operations and site teams to integrate safety protocols into daily operations.
- Provide guidance to leadership on safety strategies risk mitigation and best practices.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or a related field.
- 810 years of experience in safety management within the Oil & Gas industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA API ISO NFPA and HSE best practices.
- Experience in risk assessments incident investigation and safety audits.
- Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work in highrisk environments and make quick effective decisions.
