A highend restaurant located in Doha Qatar renowned for its fine dining experience and exceptional service offering a unique blend of French and Arabic cuisine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Head Chef to join their prestigious culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations ensuring the highest standards of food preparation presentation and service. The Assistant Head Chef will also assist in managing kitchen staff inventory and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste texture and presentation.
- Supervise and lead the kitchen team providing guidance support and training to junior chefs and kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all food production is timely consistent and aligns with restaurant menu specifications.
- Help with menu creation planning and the introduction of seasonal dishes staying in tune with current food trends and guest preferences.
- Assist in managing food inventory ordering supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained while minimizing waste and ensuring cost efficiency.
- Enforce strict hygiene food safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
- Maintain an organized and clean kitchen environment ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that the kitchen is fully stocked and operational.
- Coordinate and communicate with frontofhouse staff to ensure seamless service and to address any special dietary requests or customer concerns.
- Assist in managing kitchen schedules ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak times.
- Handle guest feedback and concerns regarding food quality with professionalism working with the Head Chef to resolve any issues promptly.
- Take on the Head Chef s responsibilities in their absence ensuring continuity of operations.
- Help with training and development of new kitchen staff ensuring adherence to restaurant standards and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Minimum of 5 years of experience in a culinary role with at least 2 years in a leadership position such as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a fine dining or highend restaurant.
Formal culinary education or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of modern and traditional cooking techniques with a keen eye for detail in food preparation and presentation.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
Expertise in managing kitchen operations including inventory ordering and maintaining food safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a highvolume fastpaced environment while maintaining highquality standards.
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.
