- Lead kitchen operations including menu planning food preparation and presentation ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement creative seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to the preferences of a diverse clientele.
- Manage and mentor the kitchen team providing training guidance and support to ensure a highperformance environment.
- Ensure compliance with health hygiene and safety standards in accordance with Kuwait municipality regulations.
- Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance ensuring all equipment is fully operational properly maintained and adheres to safety guidelines.
- Ensure that all food products used in the kitchen are fresh correctly stored and not expired.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety and sanitation standards ensuring that all kitchen activities follow local health regulations.
- Oversee food purchasing inventory management and control of food costs to ensure profitability.
- Handle department paperwork related to scheduling public holidays (PH) overtime and absence ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with management and frontofhouse teams to ensure seamless service and a superior guest experience.
- Manage kitchen scheduling workflow and task delegation to ensure smooth operations during peak and nonpeak hours.
- Adapt and innovate according to customer feedback and business needs implementing improvements where necessary.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a highend restaurant hotel or resort environment.
- Strong knowledge of various culinary techniques kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse kitchen team.
- Creative flair in menu development and presentation with a focus on quality and innovation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy kitchen effectively.
- Proficiency in managing kitchen equipment and ensuring maintenance and compliance with safety standards.
- Ability to maintain high levels of sanitation cleanliness and food safety at all times.
- A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic is highly desirable.
