Job Purpose
Summary
To install effective systems & procedures in the area of A/R management (including systems to monitor and collect sales tax forms).To put in place a lean and efficient organization structure for collection function; implement in full measure the Credit Policy of Sika Saudi Arabia.
Risk management in so far as it relates to exposure to customers with specific emphasis on obtaining market intelligence about customers / potential customers.
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following while other duties may be assigned thereafter:
- Setting up of the master file for each individual customer containing all documents required under the Credit Policy.
- Handle all aspects of customer master data in SAP system including addition of new customers setting credit limits blocking deliveries etc.
- Review the Credit Evaluations forms for their reasonable accuracy and completeness;
- Alert the sales department in advance for any potential credit terms violations usage of total limits and potential blocking of deliveries.
- Highlight any anomalies in credit terms / values (eg. high credit limits as compared to average sales).
- Such other activities as may be required in the efficient performance of Credit Control function.
Qualifications :
- Qualifications & Experience (Competencies Required)
- Educational Credentials
- (BA) in Accounting or Business Administration other related field.
- Work Experience
- Minimum of 3yrs in Finance/Accounting/Credit Controlling.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Technical accounting skills.
- Previous experience of collection.
- Proficiency in relevant software.
- Language Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly read and write effectively; in English and Arabic (preferably)
- English language level shall not be less than proficiency
- Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully an individual should have a high level of computer skills
- Expert knowledge of integrated ERP systems is a pre requisite e.g. SAP Axapta Oracle or other
- Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word and Inventory software
- Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to effectively work in a multigender multinational work team; whilst displaying particular sensitivity towards cultural and ethnic differences
- Ability to travel frequently in accordance to operational requirements
- Excellent planning analytical communication and organizational skills
- Ability to understand interpret and anticipate operating environment
