Position Overview:
The Food & Beverage Captain at Raffles and Fairmont Doha will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. This role involves leading the F&B team coordinating with other departments and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead the F&B team providing guidance training and support.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
Guest Service:
- Ensure that all guests receive prompt courteous and professional service.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and issues efficiently.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor interacting with guests to enhance their dining experience.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the setup operation and closing procedures of the restaurant.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness hygiene and safety standards in the dining area.
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
Order and Inventory Management:
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Assist in managing inventory levels placing orders and receiving supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and minimize waste.
Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
- Ensure team members are knowledgeable about menu items specials and promotions.
- Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance and service standards.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations including sales expenses and guest feedback.
- Prepare and submit reports to the F&B Manager as required.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the F&B department.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management Food & Beverage Management or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of F&B operations including food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and remain composed under pressure.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
