We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design engineering or related fields and a commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in our students.

Job Description:
As a DT Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students practical skills problemsolving abilities and understanding of design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver highquality DT lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Teach a range of DT topics including but not limited to product design electronics textiles and engineering.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to explore their creativity.
• Assess student progress through various methods providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop crosscurricular projects and enrichment opportunities.
• Stay up to date with developments in DT education and industry trends integrating relevant advancements into the curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings parent consultations and school events as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Design Engineering Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Proven experience teaching DT at the secondary level with a track record of student success.
• Strong knowledge of DT curriculum frameworks and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
