Our client is one of the top and most progressive supermarket chains in Ireland with a huge network of shops nationwide. They have a great reputation for promoting and developing senior leaders from Trainee Manager levels upwards. As part of our continued expansion we are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader with a focus on HR and Operations to join our dynamic team.

As the a HR representative in the store you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store. You will lead and support a diverse team of associates overseeing daytoday operations while also overseeing HR activities like recruitment L&D and ER.

Our client will offer a salary of up to 33000 DOE plus benefits.

The ideal candidate for this Retail Supermarket Trainee HR Manager Job:

  • Ideally some form of 3rd level education focusing on Human Resources Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Previous experience in a leadership role ideally within Retail Supermarkets Catering hospitality or Cafe environments would be essential for this job.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills capable of managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
  • Flexible to work different shifts mornings and evenings


Responsibilities for this Retail Supermarket Trainee HR Manager Job:

  • Provide leadership and direction to store associates fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • You will work closely with the senior management to learn the process of placing orders using their back office and ordering systems.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures including recruitment training performance management and employee relations to support a highperforming team.
  • Understanding and implementing food safety and sanitation guidelines is essential
  • You will learn about proper handling storage and temperature control of fresh food and grocery retail items to ensure they are safe for consumption.
  • Develop and maintain staffing schedules to optimize productivity and meet business needs while ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Analyze sales data and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive sales and increase efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries concerns and grievances providing timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with store management and other team leaders to achieve overall business objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
