- Assist in the installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems equipment and machinery on the rig.
- Perform routine inspections and tests of electrical systems to identify and address issues proactively.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical problems and implementing solutions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of lighting power distribution systems motors generators and control systems.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and prevent accidents and injuries.
- Participate in safety meetings drills and inspections to maintain a culture of safety on the rig.
- Assist in emergency response situations as needed following established protocols and procedures.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced electricians to carry out assigned tasks effectively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role or electrical training program preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in a challenging offshore environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions closely.
- Willingness to work in remote offshore locations on a rotational basis.
