WLAN Analyst

Description:

• As a WLAN Analyst for the clients Americas team you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of networkrelated solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
• This role will work with the WLAN team to provide support for all of the clients locations across the Americas.

Typical Day:

• Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution including offshift and weekend support functions
• Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
• Work actively with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
• Implement WLAN designs
• Work with expanded WLAN team to implement processes and/or process improvements to aid in development and support
• Maintain and administer WLAN including hardware software applications software and configurations.
• Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve WLAN hardware software or other network and system problems.
• Participate in an oncall rotation with team members approximately 1 week every 8 weeks

Technical Skills Required:

(Required)

• Computerrelated or engineeringrelated fouryear college or university degree
• Three to six years of progressively responsible IT jobrelated experiences
• WLAN implementation and support knowledge of risk domains tiered domains TCP/IP fundamentals ethernet QoS IP subnetting cabling (copper & fiber) OSPF VLAN Trunking VLANs and switching configuration.
• Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.
• Cisco WLAN devices/products (i.e. AireOS 9800s etc.)

(Desired)

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Experience with automation technologies and scripting
• Relevant work experience with medium to large companies
• Must have knowledge of configuration commands software and hardware components related to WLAN

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 8years experience
