Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on employment law to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law litigation exceptional analytical abilities and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients in various employmentrelated matters.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of employment law matters from inception through resolution including but not limited to discrimination harassment wrongful termination wage and hour disputes and retaliation claims.
- Conduct legal research and analysis draft pleadings motions and other legal documents and prepare for and participate in hearings depositions and trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies evaluate potential outcomes and provide guidance to clients on legal issues and risks.
- Communicate effectively with clients opposing counsel and courts to advocate for clients interests and negotiate favorable settlements when appropriate.
- Stay abreast of developments in employment law court decisions and legislative changes to ensure effective representation of clients and compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with business development efforts including participating in client meetings networking events and marketing initiatives to cultivate and maintain client relationships and contribute to the growth of the firm.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar.
- 25 years of litigation experience with a focus on employment law preferably in a reputable law firm or government agency.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws regulations and procedures including Title VII ADA FMLA FLSA and California labor laws.
- Excellent legal research writing and analytical skills with the ability to effectively advocate for clients interests in both written and oral communication.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve results.
- Demonstrated professionalism integrity and commitment to providing exceptional client service while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Proficiency in legal research tools document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
