Job Title: Project Manager

Location: AustinTX

JOB SUMMARY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Develop manage and maintain the project charter project plan risk register and other critical project management deliverables. Responsible for reporting on project status milestones and risk as well as scope schedule and budget.
Establish and support in partnership with the project owners regular project team meetings. Track progress and provide status updates to appropriate leadership. Collaborate with the project owner to ensure project expectations are proactively communicated.
Collaborate with vendors consultants contractors and business and technical teams oversight to ensure that solutions stay within scope cost and schedule and that risks are properly managed and mitigated.
Develop and assist in the procurement process which includes creating Statements of Work independent cost estimates and other documents as required.
Assist in the procurement process for project related professional services vendor services and consultant contracts.
Conduct field work and field visits as required for project execution.
Provide project management support as special assignments as needed to the four other Strategic Programs and Organizational Readiness teams in addition to primary focus on EPPM:
Enterprise Data Analytics Platform Project Connect Integration Enterprise Sustainability Program Zero Emissions Vehicle Program

Manage or assist in managing the following:
o Project implementation plans resource allocation risk analysis quality assurance
schedules and budgets.
o Regular documentation and review of lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement.
o Manage Consultant/contractor submittals to ensure timely reviews and responses from the right stakeholders.

Monthly status reports of project budgets project invoice payment process including invoice discrepancy reconciliation and vendor deliverables documentation coordination monthly expenditure reports and cost projections development and maintenance.
Inspect and monitor adherence to quality assurance and quality control plans as needed.
Interface with project team for technical discussions and solutions.
Complete program requirements and provide technical and innovative insight to help ensure each project is completed with the referenced proper balance of quality cost and schedule.
Coordinate project team activities that include all required internal departments such as Operations and Maintenance Finance IT Planning Procurement Safety Public Safety Planning Marketing Communications and transit personnel to ensure proper execution of projects.
Manage documentation including retainage is held until all closeout documents are provided per contract and then properly processed internally with various departments that require updates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in project management or related subject area. Additional related experience may substitute for a degree on a year for year basis up to four years.
Masters degree may substitute for two years of work experience.
Three (3) years of project management experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Institute (PMI)
Proficient experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel Power Point Teams Sharepoint and Project.
