The responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer are as follows;
- Evaluate the efficiency of electrical systems, machinery, components and products.
- Designing electrical systems for manufacturing equipment, including control systems, motor drives, and power distribution systems.
- Developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications for equipment and systems.
- Interpret design specifications and technical drawings.
- Research/test manufacturing methods and materials.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to create technical plans.
- Service and maintain electrical systems.
- Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial and commercial, purposes.
- Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
- Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and business requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or business requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
- Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
- Supervising or training project team members.
- Estimating material, labour, or construction costs for budget preparation.
- Maintaining electrical equipment.
- Working with a variety of technicians and cross functional teams.
- Ensuring that all electrical systems meet safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions to improve system performance.
- Other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Education: HND/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in relevant field.
- Experience in manufacturing especially within the cocoa industry, is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, control systems, and power distribution systems. Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills, Safety Knowledge and Time Management Skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
