About Gailarde

Gailarde is a family run business which was established in 1979 as a wholesale supplier of textiles. In recent years we have expanded into the wholesale provision of homeware and soft furnishings and launched various retail e-commerce businesses. Whilst the last few years has seen a period of significant growth, we are still very much a family run business and continue to hold the core values which have allowed us to prosper. Tasks

About the Role - eCommerce Manager

The Business Development Manager (BDM) role is a field-based sales role responsible for increasing our market share predominately in the Hospitality sector in London. The BDM will work in our team of 7 other BDMS (each of whom have their own geographical area) and will work alongside our Sales Support team who provide support and assistance to the BDMs and our office-based Sales team. The role will report into the BDM Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fostering and developing relationships with both current and potential customers
  • Researching, identifying, and developing a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Meeting clients both virtually and in person
  • Working with our Commercial Director to ensure accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Following up on leads generated by the office-based sales team.
  • Contributing to the overall growth of the business
  • Understanding the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these

Requirements

About You

  • Experience of selling into the hospitality industry
  • A confident sales professional who can identify, nurture, and convert leads into sales.
  • A proven sales track record and a strong focus on customer development
  • Able to demonstrate strong networking capabilities.
  • Show initiative and be able to impress with your energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge.
  • Able to present qualified solutions verbally and in written form to various stakeholders.
  • A track record of hitting and exceeding sales quota
  • A knack of building long lasting relationship quickly
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Location: This is a Remote position based in London as this is where your clients will be based. Our office is located in Elstree, Borehamwood with connections to the Thameslink, Northern line and plenty of parking spaces. The office is equipped with hotdesks and always available to work from when needed.

Salary Range: As this is a vital role in shaping the future of our DTC department we are flexible based on experience.
