Southeast Texas HR is seeking a dependable Cash Posting Specialist to join our team in the hospital and healthcare industry. As a leader in recruiting and HR services, we provide excellent career opportunities for candidates with the right skills and experience. As our Cash Posting Specialist you will be working daily to ensure all payments and adjustments are posted timely and accurately. You will be working with accounting and billing to ensure all billing procedures are followed in a timely and precise manner. This is a full-time days position. Pay will start at $13.00 per hour DOE.
Responsibilities
- Post all payments and adjustments by verifying account numbers and applying proper codes
- Verify and update information to ensure accurate patient billing records
- Obtain correct billing and payment information for posting non-patient cash
- Retrieve and process electronic batches and posts to accounting system
- Balance prior days payments and send to the accounting team
- Notify management of any payments that cannot be processed due to time or missing information
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in computer skills and data entry
- Excellent cash handling and payment processing experience
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain immunization records
