We are currently looking to hire a Financial Clerk with a strong accounting background that can provide transactional and data entry ; The candidate will be process driven to bring rigor to our financial The successful candidate should have good accounting knowledge, experience in Debtors, strong communication skills, be able to work in a pressurized environment and have attention to

In this role, you will:
  • Create and send debtors invoices daily, on Xero Accounting
  • Send monthly statements, and liaise with customers on overdue accounts
  • Prepare and maintain a weekly collection schedule
  • Report to the FC regarding collection and invoicing queries
  • Maintain accurate and up to date internal debtor records
  • Complete online vendor onboarding processes as and when required
  • Assist with customer email correspondence
  • Engage with the Account Management team on a weekly basis
  • Consistent and organized digital filing
  • To assist in other non-debtor related accounting functions as and when required
  • Ad hoc audit and admin support and other duties when required
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
  • A bookkeeping/financial diploma or degree from a reputable institution
  • At least 2 years experience in a Debtors role including collections and account reconciliation
  • Knowledge of an Accounting Package (Xero would be preferable)
  • Proficient working in G-Suite
  • Proficient working with Sheets / Excel with understanding of basic accounting formulas
  • Take responsibility for allocated tasks, great time management skills and ability to plan and prioritize tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with clients in verbal and written English
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Administrative, customer service and numerical orientation
  • High work ethic and self-discipline
