A large dairy operation is searching for a Maintenance Manager to oversee their maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all facilities and equipment to ensure the successful operation of all the facilities and operations within Company.
- Lead and organize a team of 6-8 individuals in the following tasks.
- Maintain and manage preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities on premises. Manure systems, HVAC, electrical, parlor operations, and vehicles.
- Gain an understanding of all operational aspects of the organization.
- Ensure sand separation, manure management, and pivot operations are operating effectively.
- Manager Plus software- learn and use Manager Plus software to verify PM work is completed and look for way to use the system to increase employee communication about repair items.
- Overall employee effectiveness and performance. Ensure employees are organized and on task. Review tasks to ensure protocol compliance.
- Interact with the managers in charge of the different locations in a professional and helping manner.
- Track and organize fleet across the different facilities.
- Assist and schedule facility repairs and construction activities on all Company properties
- Communication:
- Ensure dairy employee s repair needs are being met and completed in a timely fashion.
- Foster a positive work environment.
- Review, monitor and lead employee team to ensure a stable workforce, and verify work is being completed.
- Communicate with the managers of other operations within Companys group to ensure each division is aware of progress of tasks specific to each group.
- Communicate challenges, needs and opportunities to help grow and expand opportunities for Company.
- Track time and costs related to repair and employee labor at each entity in order to create adequate tracking of costs for each entity, and bill out costs for non-owned Company group entities.
- Work with ODA, EPA, and others auditors when necessary to verify compliance of Dairy Operations; facility structures, manure hauling operations, and spill management.
