Job Description

Distribution Logistics Supervisor

Location: Smyrna GA

Salary range: $55K $60K DOE

Job Overview: This role mainly involves receiving and handling incoming stock and materials picking and fulfilling orders from inventory packing and shipping orders as well as managing organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse efficiently and accurately. Additionally the position includes responsibilities for maintaining and repairing the physical structures of buildings and supplies. This entails performing maintenance tasks in various areas such as carpentry electrical work heating and ventilation and basic plumbing.

Responsibilities:

The main duties and responsibilities include the following with the possibility of additional tasks being igned:

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations which encomp quality urance inventory management space optimization logistics productivity on the floor as well as shipping and receiving.
  • Ensure the efficient use of warehouse space and resources to enhance productivity while minimizing costs.
  • Oversee and carry out receiving warehousing distribution and maintenance activities.
  • Elish the layout and ensure optimal space utilization making improvements as needed.
  • Implement and manage security safety and operational protocols.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations regarding warehousing handling and shipping.
  • Manage stock control storage retrieval and prompt delivery of goods.
  • Regularly generate reports and statistics (e.g. inventory status reports dead stock reports).
  • Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts utilizing barcode technology.
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts.
  • Maintain health and safety standards hygiene and security within the work environment.
  • Implement 5S practices to keep the warehouse organized and clean.
  • Drive continuous improvements in operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers through email digital chat and verbal interactions.
  • ist in the recruitment and hiring of qualified personnel.
  • Resolve conflicts that may occur among team members.
  • Handle all aspects of warehouse shipping and receiving supplies.
  • Perform additional workrelated tasks as igned.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To successfully perform this role an individual must be able to satisfactorily complete each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the necessary knowledge ss and abilities. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

A candidate should possess an ociates degree in business management or a related field and preferably have over five years of experience in warehouse and logistics or a comparable combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SS:

The ability to read and understand simple instructions brief correspondence and memos is essential. The candidate should be able to write basic correspondence and effectively present information in oneonone and small group settings to customers clients and fellow employees.

MATHEMATICAL SS:

The candidate should be able to perform addition subtraction multiplication and division in various units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. They should also be able to compute rates ratios and percentages as well as draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

The individual must be capable of applying common sense to follow written oral or diagrammed instructions. They should be able to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SS:

To succeed in this role knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and Google Suites is required.
