Sales Engineer

Optotune Taiwan is seeking a talented and motivated Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Engineer you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by providing technical expertise and support to our customers. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements propose solutions and ensure the successful implementation of Optotunes products.

Tasks

• Acquisition of new customers in the responsible sales region
• Identify and target new business opportunities and customer segments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
• Work closely with the application engineer team to provide considerable solutions to the decisionmakers
• Regular communications with customers engineering teams as well as the management levels
• Organization of and participation in trade shows/conferences
• Assist the procurement and supply chain management team

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering physics optics or a related field. A masters degree is preferred
• Proven experience in technical sales or application engineering is required with a preference for experience in the optics photonics industry or machine vision. A proven track record of successful customer relations management is also essential.
• CCM (compact camera module) industry experience preferred
• Strong technical background with knowledge of optical systems imaging technologies and related applications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
• Selfmotivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required
• Willingness to travel 30% (inside Taiwan APEC region)
