Job brief

The Company Nurse facilitates effective administration of the clinic management processes through systematic and timely coordination and consolidation of documents with all pertinent personnel. The incumbent is responsible for receiving patients at the Company Clinic gathering safekeeping releasing of patient data information or medical examination results as authorized. He or she will also function as the companys Safety Officer.

Responsibilities

    • Develop enforce and reiterate standards and policies of the Company Clinic as required.
    • Serve as frontliner for answering employee and physician inquiries concerning clinic management
    • Develop and maintain a systematic record and filing of all clinic managementrelated documents.
    • Directs client on the systematic flow of the medical examination process.
    • Gathers general data and conducts physical examination of the patient.
    • Assists Industrial Physicians during physical examination and consultation time.
    • Coordinates with the concerned service units for the results of examinations.
    • Prepares/collects and releases Medical Examination Reports
    • Prepares annual census and statistical reports to DOH or as per required by the accrediting bodies
    • Function as company Safety Officer and is responsible for ensuring the prevention and monitoring of accidents around the Hospital premises for employees doctors patients and visitors
    • Responsible for preventing workplace accidents through education policy making and adherence to guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies.
    • Ensures that the workplace is safe from occupational hazards that may have a specialty such as but not limited to radiation safety
    • In charge of inspecting working conditions educating employees and taking proactive steps to keep the hospital safe and a healthy place to work and seek services from
    • Collaborates with Patient Safety and Quality Management staff in setting protocols that are designed to minimize the risk of medical errors.
    • Will be part of the response team when an error occurs working to identify the origins of the error with the goal of preventing similar mistakes from happening in the future.
    • Plans and develops accident prevention programs for the facility
    • Conducts periodic safety meetings and submits reports as requested
    • Reviews reports of inspection accident investigations and implementation of programs.
    • Provides necessary assistance to government inspecting authorities in the proper conducts of their activities and enforcement of provisions
    • Initiates and facilitates safety/OSH training for employees
    • Develops and maintains a disaster contingency plan and organizes such emergency service units as may be necessary to handle disaster situations pursuant to the emergency preparedness manual.
    • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
    • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or nonconformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
    • Oversee installations maintenance disposal of substances etc.
    • Monitor unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy and create and/or recommend safe alternative practices aligned with the concerned department
    • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims
    • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
    • Notification and Keeping of Accidents and/or Occupational Illnesses Determine and process reportorial requirements based on workrelated accidents.
    • Maintain and keep an accident or illness record which shall be open at all times for inspection to authorized personnel.
    • Accomplish the Annual Work Accident/Illness Exposure Data Report in duplicate using the prescribed from DOLE and other agencies.
    • Other duties that may be assigned or other ad hoc tasks and projects that may be assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing
  • Between 1 and 2 years of experience in Nursing
  • Knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred: with experience)
