The Japanese translator will collaborate with teams in the Philippines and Japan including the GC Henka SAP AMS team and Digital Solutions ERP Translator. Theyll closely work with various stakeholders such as the GC Henka SAP Application Management Support team GC Dataland SAP ERP team GC Global Henka SAP & PMO team and others across regions contractors and SAP partners.

The main responsibilities of a JAPANESE TRANSLATOR include:

• Translate SAP incidents or Change Requests from Japanese to English send by the users of GCs SAP S4Hana system for the GC Henka SAP AMS team in the Philippines.
• Verbally explain the translation to the GC Henka SAP AMS team members in the Philippines.
• Translate the English response to Japanese of the GC Henka SAP AMS team members in the Philippines to the users in Japan.
• Support JapanesetoEnglish and EnglishtoJapanese translations in remote meetings via teams or when needed facetoface meetings.
• Convert PowerPoint Excel Word or documents in any other format from Japanese to English or English to Japanese
• Convert text and audio recordings from Japanese to English or English to Japanese.
• Make meeting minutes in English and Japanese.
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
• Crossreference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of the translation.
• Proofread translated documents and texts for grammar spelling and punctuation accuracy.
• Follow up with internal team members and GC Dataland to ensure translation meets their needs.
• Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)

To apply for the role you must have the following:

• Proven work experience as a Japanese Translator Interpreter or similar role.
• Profound knowledge of and ability to (business) communicate in the Japanese and English language fluently.
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar spelling and punctuation errors.
• Good knowledge of content editing tools.
• Familiarity with translation software.
• Experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint Excel and Word.
• Timemanagement skills.
• Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working in a multicultural crossfunctional environment.
• Mainly working onsite in Manilla BGC (Taguig) Philippines at the GC Henla SAP AMS Team office of KMC

It will also be favorable if you have the following:

• Obtained N1 in Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and/or J1 or higher in Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT)
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus.
• Experience with international organizations is a plus.
• Experience with translations of IT documents especially the ERP software SAP is a plus.
• International work experience in a continuously changing environment is an advantage.
